Viewing Property with Williamson & Henry during Covid 19
In order to minimise public health risks and allows house sales and purchases to happen as safely as possible the following measures should be followed.
If you are interested in one of our properties please first learn as much as you can about the property before asking us for a viewing. Please look at the description of the property available online, view the brochure and read the Home Report. Please also view the virtual tour: please ask us if you are not sure how to access it. Having done all this, if you have any queries ask us. To minimise health risks we are trying to keep the number of physical viewings of properties to a minimum.
Having done all of the above, if you would like a physical viewing these will be organised on an appointment only basis. When you organise an appointment we will ask you for your name, address. Email, and ask you to provide two telephone numbers. Of course, we need these details so we can contact you. They may also be used for contact tracing purposes should someone develop Covid19 symptoms after a viewing.
We will assume you have not been advised that you should be shielding and are not in a “vulnerable” group. If you are, then you must consider the government guidance and make your own decision as to whether it is safe to view. The viewing will be entirely at your own risk.
The number of people attending a property viewing will be limited to two members of the same household and the seller or viewing agent. We would recommend that children under the age of 16 do not attend viewings where possible If more people wish to view you MUST book a second viewing slot.
If the area you are travelling from is a “restricted area” (if viewing this online, see links for England and Scotland), or you become unwell before your viewing, displaying any signs of Covid19, or have been advised by NHS Contact Tracers to isolate, you MUST cancel or rearrange the viewing as soon as possible. Anyone displaying symptoms of COVID19 and appearing unwell may be refused entry to a viewing. We will try to contact you the day before the viewing to make sure that your circumstances have not changed and that you are still able to attend the viewing
We may have to cancel your viewing at short notice should the owner of the property display symptoms or be asked to self-isolate.
On the day of your viewing:
Please arrive on time for your allocated viewing. We would recommend that you do not book too many viewings on the same day and consider travel time between properties. If you arrive too late for your viewing we may not be able to allow access.
Please wear a face mask or face covering (such as a buff or snood covering both your mouth and nose) to your viewing. You must supply your own mask or face covering.
The seller or our agent will ask you to wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitiser both before and after the viewing. Alternatively, you may prefer to use a new pair of disposable gloves while viewing. If so, please take them with you at the end of the viewing and dispose of them yourself.
We are recommending to all sellers that they do not allow you to view their property unless (a) your face is covered and (b) you are wearing disposable gloves or have cleaned your hands immediately before viewing. Therefore it is likely you will not be able to view unless you do this.
Please avoid touching anything with your hands during the viewing. All doors should be open. If any are closed, or if you want to see inside a cupboard, please ask our agent or the seller for help. Please do not touch any surfaces. If you accidentally touch a surface please advise our agent / client so they can disinfect the surface after the viewing.
Any general discussion during the viewing about the property/area should be at a safe distance and should take place outside where possible.
